West Port passed out free food in the park and had a great turnout! The participants also played with the children and built relationships with the people there.
Crafts and Block Parties
This week, Terrill Road set up a crafts table in the park and spread the word about the block party they were having on Thursday. This church group stayed an extra day to host the block party and used it as an opportunity to meet people and share the gospel.
As the week continued, more groups were able to share the gospel in the parks. Some wrote verses with chalk on the sidewalks, while others played worship music with a guitar on the bench and used it as a bridge to talk to the people sitting close by. The participants had to learn how to come up with creative ways to start conversations and share gospel with those around them, and we are praying that they continue to use the skills they learned in NYC, when they get back home.
Salem Baptist Church (below) had the awesome opportunity to speak to children of all ages about why they came to serve with World Changers, as well as each share their own testimony! This was a great way to share about God’s love and show others how much their lives were affected by God’s calling!
We had an awesome week serving the community and sharing the gospel with the people in NYC! If you’d like to see this week’s project cam, click here!

Remember that serving doesn’t end here! We challenge all participants, as well as anyone who reads this, to go into your own community and serve others, sharing the love of Christ!
